Coordinator of Research and Industrial Linkages, 02/2017 to Present

Coordinate the research and industrial linkages of faculty with Malaysian communication institutions and agencies, overseeing fundamental and applied research grants among in house-scholars. Observe directly on brand management, Interpersonal Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Broadcasting, Publishing, media relations, corporate positioning, advertising and client servicing.  


Selected Accomplishments:

  • Developed coding booklet for audience analysis on news reporting of homosexuality by the mainstream media in Malaysia.
  • Published journal article on News Media Representation of Homosexuality: An Overview upon doctoral graduation requirement.
  • Created i-learn web portal of Public Speaking (COM165) to enhance conventional lecture approaches into an effective virtual classes.
  • Initiated the blended learning approach for communication courses; Family and Gender Communication (INC531) and Non Verbal Communication (INC530).
  • Performed ongoing communication, media, popular culture research and demographic profiling to identify and capitalize on undiscovered needs ahead of the curve.
