The programme believes that every individual can be excellent, and this program aims to nurture creative, dynamic and responsible publishing specialists in supporting the country’s aspiration of becoming a major global centre and premier hub for communication, multimedia information and content services.
Publishing is the activity of designing, creating, and editing information, literature, music, software, and other content in a form that is available to the public for sale or for free. Traditionally, Publishing refers to the distribution of printed works, such as books, newspapers, and magazines. Today, however, Publishing has evolved significantly into digital forms. New as well as traditional forms of publications are published online and in digital forms to accommodate the ever-developing society of the world. This new term is aptly named Electronic Publishing, or E-Publishing.
This programme covers the three important aspects of Publishing: creating content, editing content and publishing content. It also covers the purpose and functions of publishing to publishers, private and public organisations, governments, and media owners.
